The “Flower of the Antilles” is beautiful country with rolling valleys and powder white beaches. In its' honor, the Garcia family, owners of My Father Cigar Company, named their prize winning cigar after Don Pepin’s native Cuba.

Cigar Aficionado Magazine gave it top honors in 2012 for it's exquisite, Cuban influenced, masterful blend. And with that in mind......
My Trip to Cuba- el Final
On my last day in Cuba, I ventured out early in the morning for coffee and a light bite. I came across Café El Escorial in the magnificent, scenic square, Plaza Vieja. The Cuban coffee and croissant were excellent. I grabbed a cup of coffee to go and headed for the Calixto López y Compañía tobacco factory and warehouse. Built in 1886, the factory takes up practically 4 city blocks. My goal was to go to the gift store and purchase a few Cubans. I wasn’t sure if I could bring any home yet, so a couple for the day would do for now. Calixto López y Compañía store was unfortunately closed. My next stop was La Casa del Habano on Quinta Avenida. The beautiful shop has a bar and is the only cigar shop to have a restaurant on its premises. I sat at the bar and ordered one more Cuban coffee and one each Montecristo - No. 2, Partagas - Serie D No.4, and a Romeo Y Julieta – Churchill. I started with the Montecristo and spoke with fellow cigar aficionados for the rest of the morning. I wish I had more time to linger but I had a 2:00 flight back home. Adios, Cuba! Until we meet again.....
