The Goldie is a blend of  Ecuadoran binder and filler leaf from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic and a touch of Nicaraguan medio tiempo leaf in the filler enrobed in a golden Ecuadorian wrapper. The rare Medio tiempo is prized for its rich smoking characteristics. Distinct notes of cashew are followed by flavors of vanilla, oak, cinnamon, cocoa, with a floral touch in the finish. There is also a nice amount of white pepper on the retro hale. La Palina Goldie is a fine addition to any cigar aficionado’s humidor. 

8. My Father Cigars are beautifully dressed with festive silk ribbons and intricate detailed bands. My Father The Judge has a cinnamon toned Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro wrapper along with a selection of Nicaraguan tobaccos grown on the Garcia family’s private reserve. The Judge has a wonderful flavor profile of toasted almonds, cedar, cocoa, and the signature spicy pepper.

9. La Opulencia is a blend of an opulent Mexican Rosado Oscuro wrapper and rich flavorful Nicaraguan fillers. The premium cigar is smooth and creamy with notes of cocoa, leather with sweet nuances of nougat and anise. The My Father La Opulencia received a 95-rating and was named the #2 Cigar of 2018.

10. Also, from My Father, is the La Antiguedad. This cigar is a blend of a red-hued Ecuadorian Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper, double Nicaraguan binders (one Criollo, the other Corojo) and Nicaraguan tobaccos that produce a complex, smooth medium to full-bodied cigar. Tasting notes of cocoa, roasted coffee beans, leather, and black pepper round out this well-crafted cigar.

11. Pairing a fine cigar with a fine libation is never a bad thing. A gift of a Padrón 1964 Maduro paired with a bottle of Bulleit Frontier Whiskey is an elegant choice. With its high-rye recipe, the whiskey displays oak, vanilla, and orange peel.  As it plays on your palate, there arises flavors of fruits, and spices like pepper, cinnamon, and anise. A Padrón along with a Bulleit Frontier, attracts the sweet marzipan out of the cigar, while the Bourbon's rye spice is exposed to great effect. This incredible pairing accentuates the cigar's spice and toast, giving it creamy orange notes, while it shows off the bourbon’s essence of vanilla. Absolutely delicious!
