When you have three groups collaborating, groups that are experts in selling cigars, it’s hard to imagine that you won’t get a great product or one that you will not be happy about. So, you needn't worry about a negative result when El Cigar, 1880 International and El Titan de Bronze form a plan to come up with a deliciously infused cigar. And when this brain trust is coming together to make a cigar that is infused with a great bourbon? The only way that anyone loses in this scenario is if the factory catches fire.
I’ve lived in Kentucky, and I can tell you that a good bourbon is a thing to be treasured. These cigars begin with Blanton’s bourbon – the original single-barrel bourbon, distilled in Frankfort, Kentucky. This is a fine bourbon, and if you’ve ever seen it before, you’d recognize it. The bourbon comes in a beautiful, rounded, almost honeycombed bottle, and is topped with a topper with a horse on it. It’s a great bourbon on its own, one of the better in its price range, sweet with a bit of citrus and wood flavor to it.
Now, take this amazing bourbon, and add it to a cigar, a Nica Puro, with a habano wrapper, utilizing the techniques that 1880 International has perfected and patented for flavoring cigars with liquor, and you have a cigar that is worth writing home about.
These cigars, mixed with this bourbon, are delicious to say the least. The best I can do to describe it is to say that it is complex, with notes of oak, sweetness, hints of spice from the Nicaraguan tobacco, and flavor that you simply must try to believe. I’m interested to see how they would mellow, but I can’t keep one in my humidor long enough to find out.
If you like bourbon and cigars, you simply must try El Cigar's Family Series Sawyer- Blanton's Bourbon Infused Toro.
