In the late 1990s, a man named Robert Levin had a dream. A dream of starting his own cigar company. A company that we know today as Ashton. A company that now has many successful brands ranging the entire gamut of the market.
The Ashton Classic series of cigars are made by Arturo Fuente, a name that has a lot of clout in the cigar world. They were designed by the renowned head of the family, and the company at the time, the esteemed Carlos Fuente Sr. At the request of Mr. Robert Levin, he crafted a cigar that is approachable, creamy, and easy to smoke for anyone, from those who have been smoking cigars for decades to an eighteen-year old who just now wants to try his first cigar.
At the Arturo Fuente facility in the Dominican Republic, under the careful and practiced eye of the Fuente family, the best tobaccos are selected from the Dominican Republic and then aged for three to five years. This tobacco is then wrapped in a Connecticut Shade wrapper, giving it a beautiful and light look and making sure that it will be a creamy smoke.
How does it taste, though? Buying a box of cigars is a real investment, after all, and if you buy one and you hate it, you're stuck with another twenty-four. Well, thankfully, the cigar is very approachable, a smoke that is creamy, medium-mellow, and that gives off notes of wood, cashew, and a hint of spice. It’s a cigar that you will be able to enjoy again and again, and you can also share them. You know, if you don’t smoke them all yourself. :)
