Mark Twain was rarely seen without a cigar in hand. In 1866, Twain traveled from San Francisco to New York City. In 1886 Melanio Oliva will start the Oliva Cigar Company in Cuba and via Central America he would find the high quality tobacco he was seeking in Nicaragua.
