The My Father Connecticut Toro is packaged in a handsome black box with the artful MF insignia. It would certainly make an impressive gift for the cigar lover in your life. The Garcia's, the makers of My Father, strayed from the norm and created the milder and mellower Connecticut Toro to diversify their other medium to full-bodied collections of great cigars.
The Connecticut Toro features a select Nicaraguan Corojo 99’ binder and Nicaraguan Habano and Criollo long-fillers with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The shade wrapper has a refined flavor of peppery spice throughout the smoke and a mix of anise, nuts and cedar bounce on the palate. It is a wonderful smoke to enjoy any time of the day or night but I find them especially enjoyable during an early round of golf.
I’m planning to take my family on our annual Disney World vacation this spring. I have never gone golfing on our vacation and I was thinking this might be the year. Then I thought “Damn, Uncle Walt’s park has some very strict rules “especially in regards to smoking. Well, I’ll just have to go without. It won’t kill me to abstain just once. I started my intricate research on Disney’s web site and came upon the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course but couldn’t find any rules on smoking on the course. There are clothing restrictions, personal coolers are banned, etc. A little further down the page I read “…while you’re golfing, you can always grab a quick snack, sandwich, cold beverage—even a cigar!” There is one cigar shop in Disney Springs called Sosa Family Cigars. The shop offers a choice of about 80 hand rolled, long leaf cigars stored in a cool humidor. Hot DAMN, Mickey! This is going to be one of the best family vacations ever.
