You know, one of my favorite places to be able to enjoy a cigar is when I’m out kayaking. I like to take a few of them, cut them before hand, and bring along a couple of waterproof matches, just in case my lighter fails me or gets dropped into the water or something. Sitting out on the water, kayaking gently along, drinking a beer and smoking a cigar? That is my perfect way to enjoy the summer when I’m not busy having to do something else.
And when you do something like that, you need to have a waterproof container to hold your cigars in. There are plenty of other instances, too, in which having a waterproof humidor will be great, and honestly they’re even great for making sure that you are going to be able to hold IN the humidity that you need to keep your cigars in good condition. The fact is that if you’re looking for a good cigar humidor to take with you when you travel, this is going to be the one.
The one thing that I feel needs to be mentioned, however, is that these humidors do not stay humid on their own. Be sure to wet the humidifier thoroughly for proper humidification or get a Boveda humidipak to throw in there. You will be glad that you did when it keeps your cigars perfectly humidified and ready to be enjoyed virtually anywhere. Awesomeness!
