- An original Cuban brand from the late 1800s, La Aroma de Cuba has been reborn in the house of legendary cigar-maker, Jose "Pepin" Garcia, in Estelí, Nicaragua. Precision blending of the finest, aged Nicaraguan tobaccos provides a consistent medium-bodied profile. Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers rouse rich hints of brown sugar and cool spice. Phenomenal earth and cedar notes endorse the bold, smooth finale.

La Aroma De Cuba, the Aroma of Cuba, was a cigar line made in Cuba decades ago. It was fairly well-liked at the time, and the cigars got all around the world, including into the hands of one of the most famous cigar aficionados of the time, a portly and loud man known as Winston Churchill. In fact, it has long been said that the line was one of his favorite makes of cigar, though at this point that’s probably impossible to prove.
The Aroma De Cuba Belicoso box of 25 is a fantastic deal of one of my preferred sizes of cigars, and it’s a fantastic cigar at that. La Aroma De Cuba is a brand revitalized, thanks to the ideas of Robert Levin and the work of the esteemed Don Pepin Garcia. If there is a spicy cigar to be made, you can bet that Don Pepin Garcia will have a hand in it, and will produce a fantastic product. These are fantastic cigars, and they provide that quality at prices that are often associated with value cigars, which makes buying a box of them all the better of a deal.
The cigars are made at the My Father facility in Esteli, Nicaragua, and they are made from aged Nicaraguan tobacco. The wrapper is Connecticut Broadleaf, which is a bit oily and imparts some mildly earthy flavor to the cigar. All this creates a medium-bold cigar that has notes of brown sugar, spice, earth, and cedar, and which is a real pleasure to smoke. A box of 25 is likely to last you a while, too, as the cigar usually feels quite filling and leaves a pleasant and lasting flavor in the mouth.
