Undercrown from Drew Estate was the idea of master blender Willy Herrera to deter the rollers at the factory from burning away the exclusive Liga Privada. The rollers came up with a similar blend as the Liga Privada with the Undercrown line. The more affordable line retains the same high-quality you have come to expect from Drew Estate cigars.
Undercrown Flying Pig Maduro incorporates the same rare tobaccos from Brazil and Nicaragua as Drew Estate’s Liga Privada but from different primings and vintages. The dark brown Maduro wrapper from San Andres, Mexico encases the full flavored, complex blend. Drew Estate has released the Undercrown in a unique fat Parejo vitola. The San Andres Maduro wrapper inserts spice into the medium-bodied blend and the leaf adds intense flavors of espresso and hints of cashews.
Coffee infusions and coffee-based cocktails have been trending for years now. As an after-dinner drink, coffee is the ideal and natural choice especially if it is spiked with your favorite spirit. You are probably familiar with the Irish coffee made with a strong blend of coffee with Irish whiskey and whipped cream. Spanish coffee adds a little more sweetness than the Irish version and would make a great accompaniment to the Flying Pig.
1⁄2 ounce Tia Maria coffee liqueur
1⁄2 ounce Bacardi rum
6 ounces Hot coffee ( I prefer La Colombe Different Drum)
Pour Tia Maria and rum into a coffee mug. Fill with hot coffee.
Top with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
Relax and enjoy!
