Regarding the release of the 2013 limited edition La Palina Mr. Sam, the Paley’s released this statement:

“Samuel Paley founded La Palina cigars in 1896, and Mr. Sam was the moniker bestowed upon him by the workers in his factory…Samuel Paley and his wife, Goldie, have been once again united, within the La Palina Collection.”

The significance of this comment is the fact that the Beautiful Goldie cigar, a tribute to Sam Paley’s wife, and the Mr. Sam are both made at the famous Titan de Bronze factory, reuniting the couple. Mr. Sam features two black and gold bands featuring a portrait of Goldie and the second says “Mr. Sam”. Lucky for us, the La Palina Mr. Sam is now in full production.

The Mr. Sam Corona is constructed of Nicaraguan fillers and binder, along with a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper creating a rich powerful smoke. Pleasant flavors of coffee, black pepper, leather, spice and roasted nuts deliver a medium to full-bodied cigar.
