Why a Torpedo?
First off, irregularly shaped cigars are known as figurados and are more difficult to make than other shapes. Figurados were very popular in the 19th century and virtually fell of the face of the earth by the 1930s.

A Torpedo, also known as a Pyramid, is a Figurado with straight sides that taper to the head. The unique Torpedo shape has a cooler burn along with a smaller head and won’t leave you with a sore jaw. The tapered head captures the flavor, providing a richer tasting smoke.
