Island Jim San Andres Maduro #2 is the second offering to the original Island Jim cigar by “Island” Jim Robinson and Oscar Valladares. Manufactured at Oscar's factory in Honduras, the Island Jim San Andres is very similar to the original blend, only this time utilizing a dark and oily Mexican San Andres wrapper leaf. The very cool looking bands wrapped around this new smoke feature a portrait of Island Jim Robinson himself, in this case sporting a San Andres sombrero. Available in only one size, the “#2,” Island Jim San Andres appears to be crafted to resemble a No. 2 pencil. It is actually a 6 ½” x 52 Torpedo with some different colored leaf in the tip. A very well-constructed, and rather unique looking cigar by all means. Island Jim San Andres smokes cool and easy, producing thick clouds and long ashes. It's flavor profile is pleasantly packed with white pepper, cayenne, and cocoa. Hints of black cherry and leather float in the background, and there is a touch of cedar on the finish. This medium-bodied addition to the Island Jim line is a winner!
