Esteban Carreras Taken From Devil's Hand Dark Corojo Toro

20053
  • Esteban Carreras has just released the long awaited Taken From The Devil’s Hand near the end of 2022. This particular cigar has an incredibly fascinating backstory about its tobacco. The man in charge of Esteban Carreras’ factory, Gonzalo Puentes, once worked for Cuba’s Ministry of Agriculture, and in particular, the group responsible for tobacco production. The story goes that Puentes and his colleagues were tasked with developing improved Corojo seeds. Using a process called “positive selection”, the group started with a large pool of Corojo tobacco plants. From that pool, they selected the best of the best. They then took seeds from that group of exceptional plants and started the process over.... and over, and over again. When all was said and done, they had come up with a better Corojo tobacco. But, instead of handing over their results— along with the precious seeds from the best of the best plants —they were kept and smuggled out of the country, while less desirable seeds were handed over to Castro and his cronies. Thus, you have the origin of the cigar's name: Taken From The Devil's Hand!
  • It is this tobacco that you will find as the wrapper leaf for the Taken From The Devil's Hand Dark Corojo Toro. A rich, vibrant, and compelling smoke, this cigar is chock full of coffee, earth, and cedar flavors. There are also deep spicy notes, owing to the excellence of the Corojo wrapper. This smoke has been a long time in the making, but the wait is over- Enjoy them while you can!
