EP Carrillo rolls out the Allegiance line and scores another winner! Ranking at #5 in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 of 2023, the Allegiance Confidant did have a little help. It seems Ernesto turned to long time friends, the Olivas, to have the Allegiance produced at the Oliva factory, Tabolisa, in Esteli, Nicaragua. It was the first time a Carrillo cigar was manufactured outside of the Dominican Republic. Apparently, the name Allegiance was given to this cigar to represent the lifelong friendships and bonds that are everywhere in the cigar industry. The Confidant is a 6 x 52 toro with a medium-to-full bodied blend owing largely to its' Nicaraguan filler and binder showcasing a gorgeous Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper. There are notes of coffee, red pepper, nuts and earth dancing in this complex and most satisfying smoke. Enjoy yet another masterpiece from E.P. Carrillo!
