Christian Eiroa and Tom Lazaka together created the insanely popular Asylum 13 brand and the Medulla Oblongata has been a huge success for the two right out of gate. The Asylum 13 Oblongata is a Honduran puro with a medium bodied profile carrying notes of leather, earth, espresso, and spice. What makes this gigantic 7 x 70 cigar so interesting is the box-press. Originally, this cigar was packaged in a box of 40 presenting 20 Medulla (round parejos) and 20 Oblongata (box-pressed cigars). Asylum decide to break up this pairing and offer each style in 20 count boxes. Either way, the Honduran Corojo wrapper shines in this great cigar. This smoke is crazy good!
