At the 2011 IPCPR trade show, Rocky Patel revealed four new lines including Thunder by Nimish. The new cigar was blended by Rocky Patel’s cousin Nimish Desai and Patel enjoyed the result so much he agreed to put his name on it.
It took years for Nimish Desai to develop the special blend, and it is interesting to say the least. A dark, oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper gives the cigar a bold look. A double-binder and filler from Nicaragua and Honduras rides along additional Costa Rican tobacco filler.
Thunder by Nimish is medium to full bodied, loaded with white pepper, spice, and espresso flavor with an underlying chocolate sweetness. The Robusto provides more peppery spice than the other Thunder vitolas which I think is a plus. There is a nice tobacco kick that will appeal to the experienced cigar smoker who likes a stronger, robust cigar.
A spicy, but not too hot cocktail is a unique pairing with a Thunder Robusto. The Caballero is a sexy cocktail perfect for date night or as an after dinner digestif. Smokin’!
