A good Maduro cigar is a great thing, and it is also a rare thing. Everyone will have different taste in cigars, of course, but for myself, personally, I find that the darker a cigar, the better I like the cigar, and I can’t really enjoy the taste of most of the very light-bodied cigars that are common these days. Those cigars may be great for someone who is looking to get into smoking cigars, but for someone who has been smoking for years on end, they just don’t have anything to offer me.

But the Punch Maduro? That does have something to offer. Punch is an old company, one that is nearing two centuries in continuous operation in Cuba. Sadly, you and I cannot get the Cuban version of Punch, but we can get Punch cigars that are made by the company that was reformed after the Cuban revolution, the one that operates out of Honduras and whose cigars you can find in almost any humidor and online cigar shop.

This cigar begins with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, into which is placed the best tobacco that can be found in Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras. The end result is a cigar that is deep in flavor, a bit earthy, and with the kind of spice that you’re going to want from a Maduro cigar. A delicious smoke, and one that you will want to enjoy again and again.
