Regarding the El Centurion cigar, Jaime Garcia of My Father Cigars said "This new creation was a team effort between my father and me" The father and son collaboration resulted in a medium to full bodied cigar, perfect for the cigar aficionado or novice smoker.
El Centurion Toro H-2K-CT is a blend of Nicaraguan-grown Cuban seed Criollo '98 & Corojo '99 leaves. My Father then cures and ages the cigar for a minimum of 3 years in a Connecticut Habano wrapper for additional flavor. The unique United States wrapper is harvested from the Connecticut River Valley. The creamy smooth cigar has enticing aromas of cinnamon, cedar, vanilla and the signature My Father notes of pepper.
I discovered a delicious Cabernet from Napa to pair with my El Centurion H 2K. The Wagner family is possibly California's most consistent producer of great Cabernet. The full-bodied Caymus Cabernet from the Wagner family’s vineyard features sweet, ripe blackberry flavors with undertones of mocha and toasted oak. An incredible pairing with the My Father H 2K Ct, this is a classic balanced wine that tastes delicious when bottled, but will improve with age in your wine cellar. This is similar to storing your stogies in a perfectly maintained humidor to age them to perfection over a prolonged period of time.
Hyper-decanting is the term used to age your wine faster. There are several well-known ways such as decanting, letting your wine “breathe”, and swishing and swirling. But some crazy genius discovered that beating the sh*t out of your wine will create the similar aging process. Pour 1–2 glasses of the wine into a large mixing bowl or blender leaving plenty of room at the top. Take a sip for a good sense of “before.” Next, lower an immersion blender into the bowl and blend for 20–30 seconds. Tip your container to enhance the foaming effect. The wine should now have a nice heady froth on it, like a proper Guinness. Pour into a wine glass and enjoy! Just don't try this with your cigars!
