Let the Good Times Roll! La Palina Family Series is back and better than ever before. Previously produced by Graycliff Cigar Company at the historic Graycliff Inn in Nassau, Bahama, the Family Series Miami blend has been modified and is now manufactured at the famed El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami, Florida. Family Series Miami Pasha is a 7 x 50 Churchill named in honor of Bill Paley’s father.
Ecuadoran Habano binder and Nicaraguan long-fillers are enclosed in an attractive sandy colored Ecuadoran Corojo ’98 wrapper with a shaggy foot. The medium-bodied smoke delivers an array of robust flavors of cedar, coffee, spice, and roasted nuts, with hints of creamy caramel.
History has it that the Graycliff mansion was built in 1740 by Captain John Howard Graysmith, an infamous pirate of the Caribbean who commanded the schooner Graywolf and pillaged treasure ships along the Spanish Main. His buccaneering brought him fame and fortune and he was extremely dreaded for his outrageous feats. Graycliff witnessed an era when the Skull-and-Crossbones was the unofficial Bahamian Flag. Captain Woodes Rogers, the first Royal Governor of the Bahamas attempted to bring an end to piracy. He acted as a privateer, which essentially was a legalized pirate backed by the British Crown, and helped reestablish trade. In honor of his achievements, a guest room at Graycliff bears his name. Nassau was captured by the American Navy in 1776 and laid claims to Graycliff which became their headquarters during the Revolutionary War. Graycliff’s world famous wine cellar still features the original prison bars on the windows. Just an awesome spot to enjoy a La Palina Pasha!
