“... aged tobacco is the most important thing that you can have. We always had a lot of aged tobacco. And as we started aging more and more, we started doing better." Carlos Fuente, Sr.
Internationally recognized for producing superior product, Arturo Fuente takes no shortcuts in the process of creating their hand rolled cigars. The Gran Reserva series is the star in A. Fuente’s lineup and the Rosado Gran Reserva is the newest entry in this grouping.
Arturo Fuente Rosado Gran Reserva Magnum R54 Sungrown is certainly a mouthful but what a mouthful of flavor it is! The 6 1/2" x 54 vitola highlights an award-winning blend of Dominican tobaccos and an Ecuadorian Habano Sungrown wrapper that gives the cigar a medium to full body. The Rosado Sungrown is expertly aged for a minimum of 8 years and up to 10. The flavors range from leather and cedar with the sweetness of maple and dried fruit to balance the smoke.
Travelling with a non-smoking companion can be a terrible experience especially when the trip is an 8 hour jaunt to the Outer Banks and you are the passenger. My friend wanted to drive without stopping and After a 4 hour trek down I-95, and feeling very on edge, I finally spoke up and said “If we don’t pull over at the next rest stop, I will kill you”. That made him pull over. I went to the trunk and pulled out my travel humidor to find my Rosado Gran Reserva Magnum. My friend did what everybody does at a rest stop; went to the restroom and got fast food. Fifteen minutes later he asks me if I was finished with my cigar. I explained to him that this particular cigar was very expensive and I could not waste an inch of it. He agreed to waiting as I finished this beauty. Well I fooled him! After about an hour, I finished my stick and thought: "if he only knew how reasonably priced this cigar actually is..." So, we arrived an hour later than expected, but at least I didn’t end up having to bury a body alongside of the highway. Lol...Thank you, Arturo Fuente!
