There are a few things on this planet that can be declared to be good, in and of themselves. It’s the kind of thing that helps to center you, the kind of thing that can make a bad day turn out alright, the kind of thing that you will be happy to have in your life. I would argue that cigars and bourbon are two of those things.
So, when three groups (El Cigar, 1880 International, and El Titan de Bronze Cigars) come together to help combine those two things? Well, it just can’t get any better than that.
Before we talk about the cigar, let’s talk about the bourbon. Blanton’s bourbon is made in Frankfort, Kentucky (all the good bourbon is made in Kentucky, this is just reality), and is, in a word, fantastic. Sweet and oaken, with a hint of citrus, Blanton’s makes great bourbon that goes well as an individual shot or in an Old Fashioned, and you would be hard pressed to find a better bourbon in its price range.
The tobaccos for the cigar to be used in the infusion process are a Nicaraguan blend of long leaf filler and binder. A Nicaraguan Habano wrapper is the last part of the equation, also infused. Using 1880 International’s patented method of steeping every portion of the cigar's raw tobaccos in the beautiful Blanton’s bourbon, they will help create a cigar that is delicious, featuring hints of sweetness, citrus, and spice. The rest of the rolling process is handed over to the torcedor who will craft the finished product. This results in the kind of cigar that you will definitely crave again and again, if only to pair it with a nice Old Fashioned when the mood strikes.
