There are classic pictures of a great leader, a man who lead England out of darkness when everyone thought that it wasn’t possible. He is often seen with a cigar, and he had an unusual affection for a cigar made by a company called La Aroma de Cuba, which at the time was made in Cuba.
However, the line is no longer available from Cuba. Thankfully, Ashton decided that they were going to make a run at bringing the brand back to life, and that being the case, they sought to find the best person to help bring the cigar brand back to life. They partnered with Don Pepin Garcia, the head of the My Father cigar company and one of the best cigar makers in the world, and they’ve done a good job at reviving the brand and making it common again.
The cigar is made in Nicaragua at the Esteli factory where most My Father cigars are produced. It uses Cuban seed tobacco which is grown in Nicaragua, wrapped in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The flavor is one of brown sugar and spice, along with earth and cedar wood throughout, and the smoke is pleasing to the palate and the nose throughout. They’re delicious, and they’re affordable and generally easy to find anywhere fine cigars are found.
