Every good cigar company has at least one ‘value’ cigar. It’s a great cigar for enjoying if you’re just looking for a nice ‘yard’ cigar, a cigar that you may lose to your grass if things go wrong, or for giving to a friend who may not be a cigar smoker or may not be the kind of person to actually finish a cigar (and we all know a person like that). It walks the line, managing to be a decent cigar, while still not costing too much per unit or per box.
Handmade in Nicaragua under the careful, watchful, and discerning eye of Don Pepin Garcia, the Benchmade series of cigars is made for Ashton with fine tobaccos grown and aged in Nicaragua. Put together in the factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, each cigar in the Benchmade line has a pigtail cap, giving it a touch of flair and making it look a bit fancier than it actually is.
The flavor profile is fantastic, as well, delivering a medium-bodied cigar that is not short on taste. The cigar gives off notes of wood and earth, along with a spicy flavor that is characteristic of so much of the work of Don Pepin Garcia. The cigar is not short on spice, and it will certainly help to power you through a difficult day or through a tough night, and do so in style and affordably. A great cigar if you’re not looking to spend too much, or if you just want a lot of spice with wood flavor to it.
