When Alec Bradley first opened, they were a small operation, specializing in boutique blends that they produced in fairly limited quantities. Years later, they’re a large company, but this didn’t happen overnight. It began with hard work, and it increased with a number of huge wins in the cigar world, when they presented a series of 90 plus rated cigars to the industry, of which two stand out.
The two which stand out are the Alec Bradley Tempus, a 94 rated cigar, and the Alec Bradley Prensado, which managed a 96 rating. The Prensado is the cigar of which we are speaking today, and it is a fantastic cigar.
The cigar begins with the wrapper, a well-aged Corojo wrapper that comes from Honduras. Into this is placed the perfectly-blended, perfectly aged tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua, some of the best premium long-leaf tobaccos that you will come across for their year, perfectly wrapped into a box shape via the use of a box press. The cigar burns perfectly, even and slow, just like you would expect a premium cigar to burn. The flavor, too, is amazing, a full-bodied cigar that exudes hints of chocolate and toasty leather that will please the palate and have you coming back for more.
If ever you manage to come across a box of these rare beauties, you owe it to yourself to make sure that you snatch it up and enjoy the flavors. They are a rare treat, and having a box gives you the chance to treat yourself whenever you like.
